Author: Donna Monday

Here's a Sloppy Joes recipe that is bound to be a big hit with your family and friends.

1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 cup milk
3/4 cup quick cooking oats
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons white vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
10 sandwich buns, split

Directions

Preheat 350 degrees.

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the beef, milk, oats, onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper until meat is no longer pink. Transfer to an ungreased 8-inch square baking dish.

Combine the ketchup, water, vinegar and sugar; pour over meat mixture. Bake, uncovered for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Spoon about 1/2 cup into each bun.
